# Workspaces

> What a workspace scopes, how to switch between them, and when you need more than one.

A **workspace** is one brand or product you're tracking. Everything you do in TrackRev happens
inside a workspace, and data never crosses between them.

## What a workspace scopes

A workspace contains all of its own:

* Links, clicks, events and visitors
* Orders and revenue attribution (model, window)
* Programmes, partners, commissions, credit grants and payouts
* Domains, branding, and integrations (payment keys, retargeting pixels, fulfilment)
* Webhooks, API keys, bio pages and team members

Your **workspace ID** is the UUID you put in the [pixel's](/getting-started/install-pixel)
`data-id`. Find it under **Settings**.

## The one-domain rule

Every own-site link and affiliate destination in a workspace must share one **registrable
domain** — the domain your pixel fires on. This keeps a workspace's clicks, visitors and revenue
reconciled to a single product. Links to sites you don't own are exempt. To track a second product
on a different domain, use a second workspace.

## Switching workspaces

Switch the active workspace from the workspace switcher at the top of the dashboard sidebar. The
whole dashboard re-scopes to the selected workspace instantly.

## Creating more workspaces

<Info>
  The number of workspaces you can run depends on your plan: **Free** and **Starter** are one
  workspace; **Growth** and **Scale** are unlimited. Creating a second workspace on Free or Starter
  prompts an upgrade. See [Plans & billing](/account/plans-and-billing).
</Info>

Agencies and multi-product teams typically run one workspace per client or product, then switch
between them. Because each is fully isolated, a client only ever sees their own data.
