# Migrate from Rewardful (or FirstPromoter, Tolt, Tapfiliate)

> Move an affiliate programme from Rewardful, FirstPromoter, Tolt or Tapfiliate to TrackRev: recreate your terms, import partners and repoint your signup link.

Moving an affiliate programme to TrackRev mostly means re-creating your commission terms, bringing
partners across, and repointing your signup link. Because TrackRev computes commissions from your
real charges, you also gain refund reversal and true recurring/LTV tracking that link-only tools
can't match.

  **Settings → Migration** imports affiliates, referral codes, coupon codes, and unpaid balances
  from FirstPromoter, Rewardful, Tolt, and others in one upload. This guide is the wider cutover

  <Step title="Connect your revenue first">
    TrackRev commissions come from actual charges, so
    [connect your payment processor](/revenue-attribution/connect-stripe) before anything else. This
    is also what powers automatic refund reversal.

  <Step title="Re-create your programme">
    In [Create a programme](/affiliate/create-program), match your existing terms: commission type
    and rate, recurring policy, and **cookie window** (set it to match your old tool so in-flight
    referrals attribute consistently).

  <Step title="Bring your partners across">
    Export your affiliates and [import the CSV](/affiliate/migration/overview) — referral codes
    come with them, so links they've already shared keep working once you repoint the domain. For a
    handful of partners,
    [inviting them individually](/affiliate/recruiting#invite-a-partner-directly) works too.

  <Step title="Carry over coupon codes">
    The import brings coupon codes across with each affiliate. Added someone by hand? Set their
    **coupon code** on the enrollment so coupon sales keep crediting them — see
    [Coupon-code tracking](/affiliate/commissions#coupon-code-tracking).

  <Step title="Brand and repoint the signup page">
    Set your [subdomain and branding](/affiliate/partner-portal), then update your website's
    "become an affiliate" link to the new TrackRev signup URL.

  <Step title="Communicate the move">
    Message partners with their new portal link and confirm their payout details and
    [tax form](/affiliate/tax-forms) are on file for the next payout run.

  <Step title="Run in parallel briefly, then cut over">
    Keep the old tool read-only for a short window to reconcile any pending payouts, then fully cut
    over once TrackRev is recording sales correctly.

<Warning>
  Individual historical commissions aren't imported — TrackRev's ledger starts at your go-live
  date. What each affiliate is still **owed** does come across (as a carried-over commission), so
  your first payout run here settles the balance your old tool was showing.
