US tax rules require a W-9 (US persons) or W-8 (non-US persons) on file before you pay a partner. TrackRev collects these securely in the partner portal and surfaces each partner’s status in your dashboard.

What partners submit

From their portal Settings, partners complete the Tax form card. They choose a form type and upload a completed, signed PDF: They also enter their legal name and tax residence country, and upload the signed form (PDF only, up to 5 MB). The card links out to the official IRS forms.
Uploaded forms are stored in a private bucket. Only you (the merchant the partner is enrolled with) can download them, via a short-lived signed link.

What merchants see

On the Partners table, each partner shows a tax-form badge indicating whether a form is on file. When you need the document — for your accountant or 1099 filing — download it from the partner’s row; TrackRev generates a 60-second signed URL after confirming the partner is enrolled in one of your programmes.
TrackRev collects and stores tax forms; it does not generate 1099s for you. Use the collected forms with your own accounting/filing process.
Make tax-form collection part of onboarding. A partner without a form on file should be settled only after they submit one — the badge makes it easy to catch before a payout run.
